William Morgan "Bill" Cassidy (born September 28, 1957) is an American physician and politician currently serving as the junior U.S. Senator from the state of Louisiana. He is a member of the Republican Party and served as the U.S. Representative for Louisiana's 6th Congressional District from 2009 to 2015. ==Early life, education and career== William Morgan Cassidy was born in Highland Park, Illinois, one of four sons born to Elizabeth and James F.
